RSS Samsung DTB-H260F External HDTV Tuner - Product of the Week Friday February 27, 2009 Although many HDTV owners can access HDTV signals through cable or satellite, many consumers still need to access DTV and HDTV signals over-the-air, via an indoor or outdoor antenna. However, although HDTVs can easily display a high definition image, some older HD-Ready sets do not have actually have built-in HDTV tuners. As a result, Samsung offers a low-cost HD set-top box, the DTB-H260F, that adds over-the-air HDTV signal access to older HDTV's that do not have a built-in HDTV tuner.

The DTB-H260F houses an HDTV tuner that can receive over-the-air 480p, 720p, and 1080i broadcasts. The DTB-H260F also features both HDMI and Component video 480p 720 1080i outputs, as well as Digital Optical audio outputs for access to Dolby Digital 5.1 channel audio broadcasts.
